Updates
There are two kinds of updates: Pake itself, and the apps you made with it.
Update Pake
- Mac: Pake checks automatically. To check now, choose Check for Updates… from the Pake menu.
- Windows: Pake checks when it starts and every 24 hours, and shows an Update button at the top of the window when a new version is out. Check for Updates in the ⋯ menu checks now, and Install and Restart installs it. A copy that was not installed by Setup does not update itself.
If an app is being installed, Pake finishes it before restarting for the update.
Update your apps
Pake checks the apps you made when it starts and every 24 hours. In My Apps, an app shows:
- Update available when Pake has a newer runtime for it, with fixes and improvements to how the app runs.
- New recommended settings when its site in the gallery has better settings. Only options you never changed yourself take the new values.
Click Update on a row, or Update All in the banner that counts the apps you can update. Updates are free and keep each app's name, icon and sign-ins.
Update All skips apps that are running, so quit them and update them on their own. A single Update asks before quitting the app.
